Our Mission
The College Woman’s Club of Westfield was founded in 1917 on the eve of World War I and at the height of the Women’s Suffrage Movement. The club was founded to further the higher education of women and serve the general interests of the community.
CWCAbout the
The College Woman’s Club (CWC) was instrumental in forming the Westfield Adult School, Westfield High School College Night, and the town’s bicentennial celebration. CWC members were among the first female representatives on the Westfield Town Council and Board of Education, and currently serve on those and other civic boards. Our primary purpose is the awarding of scholarships to young women from Westfield on the basis of academics, leadership and financial need.

A note from a Scholarship
Winner“Dear Woman’s Club, I write to thank you for your generosity in granting me a College Woman’s Club Scholarship. With the funds I received from my scholarship, I have been able to focus on my schoolwork, and I am so happy to report that I am doing very well academically. For this, I am truly grateful for CWC.”
