Westfield Resident

All applicants must be Westfield residents for at least one year prior to applying.

Graduating Student

The candidate must be graduating from high school at the end of this current academic year and plan to enroll in a college program commencing the next academic year.

One-Year Grant

In addition, women who are presently matriculated into an undergraduate program may seek a one-year grant.

Documents you’ll need for your application

  • Complete the application form in its entirety. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. If you complete the form by hand, please use BLACK INK.

  • Please print and submit your Common App.

  • A personal letter of recommendation is required from an academic, personal, or community reference (relatives are not permitted). Letters may be submitted in a sealed envelope or emailed directly to cwc.westfield@gmail.com with your name (the applicant’s name) in the subject line.

  • A teacher recommendation is required. The teacher may submit their evaluation in a sealed envelope or email directly to cwc.westfield@gmail.com with your name (the applicant’s name) in the subject line.

  • Complete Academic Transcript (provided by your high school or University*).

  • A counselor’s letter of recommendation (provided by your high school).

* For current college student applicants, we require an official academic transcript and letter of recommendation from a faculty member.

FAFSA Information

To assess financial need, we also require these items enclosed in a separate sealed envelope:

  • FAFSA form available online.

  • The last two years of your tax returns, including all Schedules, if applicable, from parent(s) and from the student, if filed.

Both the FAFSA and tax return components are referred to an outside agent for assessment of financial need and are not reviewed by the scholarship committee. FAFSA and tax information is for the exclusive use of the independent analyst and is strictly confidential. For confidentiality, we require that this document be mailed, NOT emailed.

Please deliver your sealed envelope to the Guidance Office at Westfield High School by 3:00pm on or before March 10, 2027 or your application will not be considered.

    Ijeoma’s empathy and dedication to others will serve her well as she pursues Nursing at Howard University.

    College Woman’s Club Scholarship & Patricia Byrne Landy Scholarship

    Ava will attend Fairfield University, where she has been directly accepted into a highly selective nursing program.

  • Autmn Harper

    Fran Faltermayer Scholarship & CWC Scholarship

    Autumn will attend the College of Charleston, where she plans to study Business and Dance with the goal of one day owning her own dance studio.

  • Sarah Nissin

    Esther Carlson Scholarship

    Sarah looks forward to pursuing a degree in Business Management at Virginia Tech.

  • Mia Saco

    Past Presidents Scholarship

    Mia plans to use her education in the arts, not only to pursue a professional performance career, but also to give back through education and mentorship.

  • Alice Schaefer

    Freda Marigiloff Scholarship

    Alice will attend Boston University where she plans to major in Psychology with the long-term goals of working in the therapeutic field.

  • Madison Tacktikos

    Esther Carlson Scholarship

    Madison continues her studies of Biology and Psychology at the University of South Carolina.

    CWC Scholarship

    Ellie will attend Elon University to pursue a degree in strategic communications, where her perseverance and determination will continue to guide her success.
