CWC holds an annual fall essay contest for rising seniors. Students choose one of the Common Application prompts for the year they’re applying and submit their essays by September 25. Of the hundreds of eligible seniors across six private schools and Westfield High, only eight students entered this year.
On Friday, Oct. 9, Luella Mockbee was named the winner and received a certificate along with a $150 prize from the College Women’s Club. Luella’s essay was authentic, compelling, and unmistakably well focused, that will serve her well in college.
